Hope is beginning to take a real hold. It's familiar, something that was wanting to make it's way into our hearts two years ago. And then, he got in again.
Please don't let this happen again. Don't let him lose by a margin small enough to cheat through. Because, you know he's going to try. He's been trying. Trying to obtain voter rolls, suing to get names off of ballots, trying to suppress mail-in voting, moving voting stations around like some sort of twisted game of three-card monte. I'm sure I've missed a few, and when he loses, you can bet they will fight the results, just like in 2020.
That's why it can't just be a blue wave. It needs to be a tsunami of such magnitude that even the most maga of the maga won't believe their lies of it being 'rigged.' It can't be remotely close. Anywhere.
The world is watching. Brazil did it. Hungary did it. It's happening around the world. Dictators and fascists are beginning to fall like dominoes. It's your turn.
The world will celebrate with you. There will be dancing in the streets, the champagne will be popping, and full breaths will be taken for the first time in a long time.
While he slurs through incoherent speeches, glitching and twitching, yelling at patriotic protestors, his utterances echoing off the walls of half-empty high school gyms... go vote.
Make this pedophile and all of his sycophants shit their pants more than normal. Make their rejection so massive that it crushes their empty souls. Vote, then make sure your family has voted, then your neighbours, than people you meet on the street. Carpool to the voting station. Come prepared to stand in line. Come prepared to stand up to intimidation. Make sure your vote is counted in the way you intended. Follow through.

This will be the first step in healing after the last ten years of abuse from this idiot and his ilk. This will strip him of his power. Next move will be to create distance by removing him from office. Then will be the long journey of recovering from the trauma he has caused.
It will take time to repair all of the damage, but every trip begins with that first, biggest, most important step.
