Looking Up....

Hi,

I do a lot of driving during my everyday life, and living in Saskatchewan, known for its living skies, you'll often find me pulled over to the side of the road taking photos. Most of the time, I don't don't even need to pull over, as there is literally no traffic.

What I see depends on the time of day, the road I find myself on, weather, and when I choose to look up with real intention.

Of course you watch the road, you watch the ditches for wildlife with a death wish, but looking up, really looking up, is intentional.

If we only look up when it's storming, if we only look up when it's dark, we miss the beauty that comes in between.

It's graduation season, a time when new chapters begin in abundance.

Choose to look up often so you see more than just the darkness, more than just the storms. Breathe in the beauty of what comes in between.

You may not have the power to change the sky, but you do have the power to decide in what direction you travel, and who you take a long for the ride.

You're stepping into adulthood at a moment in history that feels different. It feels important, and the impact you can have on it may feel heavy... and it should.

You are a generation of inclusion, and acceptance, of kindness and compassion. These are not weaknesses, they are the strengths this world, our world, needs the most.

Step up. Be ready. Be resilient. Be bold. Be brave. Be passionate. Be honest. Be trustworthy. Be collaborative. Be someone on which people can depend. Be a critical thinker. Be authentically and unapologetically every single bit of who you are.

This time in history is showing us what can happen when greed takes the wheel. Collectively, we are turning toward a lighter destination, but we need you to help us see it through.

The Grand Cheeto and all of his idiot friends will soon be gone... one way or another. Some will go to prison, some will slither back under the rocks from which they came, others will simply expire and cease to exist altogether.

So.... look up... with intention. You decide your direction.
