And Let The Weddings Begin!

Hi!

Well, the first wedding of the year is tomorrow!

Time to strap on some dancing shoes!

It's always so special to bear witness to these special days. Yes, we've probably attended more weddings than the average person, but each one is unique. How could it not be? Each couple has their own vibe, their own style, their own stamp.

Some are very formal, with every detail planned down to the minute, others are very laid back, with more of a "go with the flow" feel, and so many more come down somewhere in the middle.

Yes, they each have their own feel, their own ideas, their own sense of tradition, or avoidance thereof, but they all have something very much in common, as well.

The palpable love that exudes from the couple, the obvious support of family and friends attending, and the undeniable depth of sincerity in which the vows are given. These things are most definitely present at each one.

Whether you are in a traditional wedding gown or a tutu, a tux or board shorts, when it comes down to the reason we are there, it is the same.

It is such an honour to be a part of these life changing events, even if it is in such a small way.

Sometimes, the couple, the wedding party, the parents, can get so caught up in the details. Decorations, the venue, flowers, who is going to sit where, what will happen when, and who will say what. Granted, organization is important, but in the end, what matters is that, when it's all over, you are married and everyone has had a good time.

When you look back, years later, the size of the centrepieces, simply..won't....matter. The smiles will.

As for the past week.............

Another busy one at the shop....which is awesome......

Put the finishing touches on the music for above mentioned wedding...........

Caught up on a couple of quick grandbaby snuggles...........

Was able to squeeze in a bit of writing...........

Now for the upcoming days............

DJ wedding tomorrow.......

Work at the shop............(month end whoot!)

Get caught up on some writing..........

Snag some grandbaby snuggles..............

I'll leave you this week with a wish for the newly married.................

May you arise every day, striving to make your spouse's life brighter than the day before.
May you always be considerate, and kind, both out in the world and behind closed doors.

May you remember, when the world tries to tear you apart, the love that brought you close.
May you always keep in mind, this is the love of your life, the one your heart chose.

May you realize early that keeping score can lead to nothing but resentment and heartache.
May you understand that everything is a compromise,  much more give than take.

May you understand this does not mean you sacrifice who you are to be a husband or a wife.
May you see the opposite is true, with this unconditional love, you'll become the best you having the time of your life!

Until next time............
